The customers work only with Web version of eDoc that increase time for documents’ approval and affect overall efficiency. Thus, the need in creation mobile and secure environment for public sector workers occur.


To make public sector’s work more efficient GDC Services developed a mobile application both on IOS and Android platforms to maintain document management. It helps a user to execute tasks in connection with submission of a case that can consist of several documents and related attachments.

The EDoc app allows to manage and execute tasks in connection with submission of a case.

To allow users work with documents in app it retrieves its data in the case management system. The case management system has a REST API that sends information in JSON.

The integration retrieves and send data at short notice, preferably in real time. The app integration is able to:
  • View cases, including:
  • Workflows associated with the cases
  • Dates from workflows
  • Notes attached to the cases
  • Retrieve files
  • Uploaded files
  • Set status in workflow and attach comments
  • Create workflows, including:
  • Search users
  • Send files to user’s OneDrive if they were downloaded to the device first

To provide secure environment the app is implemented like an Enterprise Application in Azure, which is shielded by Conditional Access Policies. Only registered eDoc users can login to the apps, with their eDoc login credentials (typically a Windows Domain login or an Azure login).

The app supports two- or multifactor login where the ways possible on the devices. The two/multi factor login support must be configured and administered from InTune.


At present, public sector workers are enabled to be more mobile and work with documents and cases more efficiently in a secure environment.
